Designing an inline upsell experience
To elevate the Jo Malone London product detail page experience, I designed an inline upsell module that provides a subtle, on brand way to recommend refills and other relevant products. While it was initially created to surface reed diffuser refills, the design was developed with flexibility in mind, allowing it to also showcase complementary items.
Aligned with an elegant aesthetic
When a user adds a reed diffuser to their bag, the interface reveals a curated selection of refill options they may wish to add. The goal was to make this upsell moment feel natural without disrupting the flow of purchase. I focused on preserving the brand’s refined visual language, using soft contrasts, and balanced spacing, while ensuring the design performed effectively across responsive layouts. The final design increased visibility of refills and created a more seamless and intuitive path to multi item purchases.
